Past - ICM and Double Exposure - Outing at the Laghetasc in Brebbia 7.11.21
Let's experiment! Anyone interested in experimenting with ICM (intentional camera movement) and multiple exposures is welcome to join me at Laghetasc, Brebbia. With the lake's semi-submerged bald cypress trees in autumn colours, and the surrounding woods there are plenty of photographic possibilities to explore. We can meet at Laghetasc, Brebbia on 7 November at 10.30am Slow shutter speeds are mostly used for ICM images so a neutral density filter is useful and/or a lens that you can stop down to small apertures. I find an old 70-200mm zoom suits me, but you can use whatever lens you prefer. For in-camera multiple-exposures, check your camera manual to see if it's available and how to do it. I am no expert but I have been experimenting for a few years so I may be able to give a tip or two. Here's a recent video that someone posted on YouTube, that gives a good view of the lake at the moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxAZuPCkh0M Kevin
Past - Nature photography on Lake Maggiore
Nature photography is a wide range of photography taken outdoors and devoted to displaying natural elements such as landscapes, wildlife, plants, and close-ups of natural scenes and textures. Nature photography tends to put a stronger emphasis on the aesthetic value of the photo than other photography genres, such as photojournalism and documentary photography. "Nature photography" overlaps the fields of -- and is sometimes considered an overarching category including -- "wildlife photography," "landscape photography," and "garden photography". So, with the strong interest shown from current and future FCC members in ‘Nature’ photography, Rudolf and Kevin would like to propose an informal photographic morning by Lake Maggiore. We can take photos together, exchange ideas and then understand the individual needs for those interested in pursuing a more specific photographic ‘nature’ course and/or photographic outings. We will also set a realistic challenge for your morning of photography!
Please confirm your participation by emailing Kevin Douglas at: [email protected] Date: Saturday 3rd February 2018 Time: 9:00 to 12:00 Place: Lake Maggiore. Car park at the end of Via Lago (just past the entrance to Nautica Lavazza), Brebbia
